I would offer myself... But:
a) I'm still through the second book. b) Elizabethan Era is not my strong point. c) I said I'd never GM again.

I thought Visenya was planning to start it up when she feels ready, or has that changed in the last 24 hours or so? If she wants to run it, shouldn't we wait for her anyway?
My internet has been very badly behaved the last couple of weeks so I don't think I'd want to handle being the admin right now. I've been on high intensity RPs with only the tiny laptop before and it sucks. Plus if I were running it my preference would have been for the Georgian period, but it was Visenya's decision to make in this instance. I figured I'd know enough to help her out and research other things when they came up, but I'd be worried about actually running an Elizabethan game.

Well from her comment I interpreted what you said... But after a re-read I guessed she meant "keep in touch" as "we'll meet on the future", and as Aranya commented next I assumed it was right.

She mentioned "getting the ball rolling" at some stage. I'm clinging to that.

It is still her intention to make a grand return and run the game, she feels bad for leaving everyone in the funk. But it is what it is, no need to start picking out new admins just yet...

Plus trying to find new admins for a game that never started makes about as much sense as finding adoptive parents for an aborted baby.

I can't describe how much that made me laugh, Zack.

Zack always was king of the disturbing yet amusing comments.
Yeah, Aranya. Curious to see what happens. Obviously we know that historically our period led to the unification but in an alternate reality setting it could go other ways too. I told Visenya a while back that she shouldn't feel obliged to follow history unless she wants to. That can be tricky in RP. Some years ago I had to end a Napoleonic game prematurely when I got all stressed about whether or not to follow historical events, though to be fair a few people talked me into starting it and the whole thing was something of a rush job to start with.

That's the easy part. Building a game but never actually running it doesn't qualify as adminning. That's like building a boat but never sailing it and calling yourself a captain.

Or writing a book but never getting past outlining the chapters then calling yourself an author. Dont worry, Visenya, at least you have time to finish the books now! Totally worth it Perhaps one day I'll try the Temeraire world but as I've said a few times, I don't think I know the Elizabethan era well enough to admin that setting.
